Become a Volunteer

We are always seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of volunteer docents. Docents lead hour long tours through the Museum talking with visitors about Wharton’s life, furniture, sculpture, architecture and functional art. Training is ongoing, and we are as flexible as possible with scheduling; we usually look for docents to do one tour a week but can accommodate other schedules.

While the majority of our volunteer needs are for Museum docents, we also have opportunities for volunteers interested in gardening and landscaping, hospitality and visitor service, and Museum collections.

Our team of volunteer docents are essential to our daily operation and our spirit. We routinely gather together to share ideas and feedback, enjoy each other’s company and even take field trips. Give us a call at (610) 644-5822 or submit your information below to to find out how you can get involved.
