Directions

The Wharton Esherick Museum is located at 1520 Horseshoe Trail, Malvern, PA 19355. Parking is available along Horseshoe Trail. Parking is available in the Museum’s driveway for visitors with mobility issues or special needs.

For guests arriving via the PA Turnpike please note that exit 320 (towards Rt. 29 Phoenixville Malvern) is for E-Z PASS ONLY. If you do not have E-Z PASS take exit 326.

From PA Turnpike (No E-Z PASS Required)

  • Take Valley Forge exit (#326)
  • At the exit, take the first exit (#327) right after the tollbooth. This is North Gulph Road, which becomes 23 West at Valley Forge Park.
  • Take 23 West through the park. At the traffic light turn left onto 252 South.
  • Travel 1 mile on Route 252 to the covered bridge on your right. Go through the covered bridge. Follow that road for 2.5 miles to the stop sign. (Octagonal School on your right)
  • Make a hard right turn on to Diamond Rock Road.
  • At the top of the hill turn right onto Horseshoe Trail. The Esherick Studio is 1/10 mile on the right.

From PA Turnpike (For E-Z PASS Tag-holders Only)

  • Take Phoenixville Malvern exit (#320) (E-Z PASS ONLY)
  • At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Route 29 North
  • Travel 0.4 miles, turn right onto Yellow Springs Road
  • Travel for 2.2 miles and turn left onto Diamond Rock Road
  • At the top of the hill turn right onto Horseshoe Trail. The Esherick Studio is 1/10 mile on the right

From Wilmington

  • Take 202 North
  • Exit at Paoli/Route 252
  • At the foot of the exit ramp turn left onto Swedesford Road
  • Travel about 1 mile and turn right onto North Valley Road
  • Travel about 1 mile, bearing right at the fork. This takes you under the turnpike
  • In front of you is the Octagonal School
  • Turn left onto Diamond Rock Road
  • At the top of the hill turn right onto Horseshoe Trail. The Esherick Studio is 1/10 mile on the right

From Philadelphia

  • Take 76 West to King of Prussia
  • Exit at Route 202 South
  • Travel about on 202 South to the Route 252 North (Valley Forge) exit
  • At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Route 252 North
  • Travel 1.5 miles on Route 252 to the covered bridge on your left. Go through the covered bridge. Follow that road for 2.5 miles to the stop sign. (Octagonal School on your right)
  • Make a hard right turn onto Diamond Rock Road
  • At the top of the hill turn right onto Horseshoe Trail. The Esherick Studio is 1/10 mile on the right
