Join us for an opening reception and awards ceremony for Imprint 2019, the Wharton Esherick Museum’s 10th annual high school printmaking competition. Each year art classes from the Chester, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery & Philadelphia Counties are invited to explore Esherick’s legacy and the rich artistic vision he expressed through woodblock prints. Recognizing the important role printmaking played in Esherick’s development as an artist, Imprint 2019 encourages new generations of young artists in the medium of relief printmaking.
Exhibitions in our Visitor Center are free to the public. This does not include admission to the Museum. We will be hosting our Second Sunday event during the opening reception on March 10, which offers an ‘open house’ tour of the Museum for $12 admission, and does not require the usual advance reservations.
