Join us in celebrating the opening of Home as Self, our 28th Annual Juried Woodworking Exhibition! Featuring artists from across the country, Home as Self showcases a wide range of approaches to what it means to make a self-portrait, just as Esherick’s “self-portraits” took on many diverse forms. At the reception, we’ll hear insights from WEM Director of Curatorial Affairs and Strategic Partnerships Emily Zilber about the exhibition and learn more about the work of our three prizewinning artists, Virginia Blanchard, Katie Hudnall, and Amy Forsyth. Bring your questions, curiosity, and a drink of your choice, as we raise a glass to the different perspectives and creative interpretations of self-portraiture in this year’s show!
This is a free online event; advance reservations are required.
We look forward to seeing you there!
