Join us on Sunday, November 3rd at 3:30 PM for an afternoon of music in the 1956 Workshop. Members of the Ursinus String Ensemble bring us music of comfort in a performance that showcases the ensemble’s chamber groups. Ensemble members will play a setting of Lili Boulanger’s Nocturne, Astor Piazzolla’s Oblivion, and more. Plus, we’ll be treated to an original string setting of As I Watched the Ploughman Ploughing, a score that Esherick illustrated with woodblock prints in 1927 and which the Ursinus ensemble will bring to life!
An open house in the 1926 Studio will take place in the half hour before the 4:00 performance begins in the 1956 Workshop. We invite you to enjoy artworks, light fare, and refreshments in the Workshop amidst this soothing musical performance.
