Join us on December 8th for an Open House of Esherick’s 1926 Studio, plus a Holiday Pop-Up in the 1956 Workshop! During the Open House, visitors can explore the reimagined installation in the Studio’s first floor gallery Art, Work and Everyday Life: A New Look at the Esherick Studio. Concurrent with a portion of our collection now on view at the Brandywine Museum of Art, this reconfiguration of the Studio showcases rarely seen objects from our collection and beyond. Please note that entry to the Studio may be staggered to ensure a pleasant experience. Guests will be welcome to rotate between the Studio, popping in the Workshop to shop and exploring the current exhibition on view in our Visitor Center, Rhythms of Work. This exhibition features a number of new acquisitions and rarely seen objects exploring Esherick’s approach to furniture making, modern technology, and collaboration.
The Holiday Pop-Up , held in the 1956 Workshop, will feature a selection of artist made goods and newly released items from the Museum store, with complimentary hot cider and coffee while you browse. We’ll be offering a special 10% off all shop items during the event – come find gifts that your loved ones will treasure while supporting WEM and local artists with each purchase!
