Have you ever wondered where Wharton Esherick sourced all his materials? Join us on Tuesday, November 19th for a look into the Wharton Esherick Museum’s special collections. We’ll be discussing the card catalog Esherick kept that contains dozens of contacts for individuals and stores that supplied him with everything from aluminum to wood. These documents help to illuminate the places where Esherick’s various materials came from, the networks that he was a part of, and the mundane rhythms of artistic practice that require makers to first be consumers!
This is a free online event; advance reservations are required. There will be time for Q&A at the end of the conversation. Please register below to receive instructions on how to join us! If able, please consider a $5 donation to support our ongoing programs. Donate HERE.
We look forward to seeing you there!
