In this fun, 20-minute program, we’ll highlight Esherick’s connections to the New Jersey coastline and take a deep dive into his annotated woodcut map of “Good Old Barnegat Bay” — a journal of summer adventures with friends like Henry Varnum Poor and Theodore Dreiser in tow! We’ll also highlight the role of sailing in Esherick’s work and peek at a few related artworks inspired by this summer getaway.
