On the Second Sunday of every month, we are excited to offer a self-directed tour of the Museum. This allows you to wander and linger at will throughout Wharton’s Studio. Docents are stationed in every room to welcome you, answer questions and demonstrate the furniture. This is a particularly great tour for returning guests and for those who prefer more flexible viewing experiences.
This experience allows you to spend as much time as you like and does not require reservations. Please be aware that you may not be able to enter the Studio immediately if the building is at capacity. We are busiest right at 1:00 pm during Second Sunday – we encourage those who can to arrive a little later to ensure a great viewing experience!
The Studio is open during Second Sunday from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. In June, July, and August, our Second Sunday event also includes access to the Diamond Rock Schoolhouse, the historic octagonal schoolhouse that served as an early painting studio for Esherick.
Admission $12 adult / $6 children (ages 5-12)
We cannot accommodate group tours during Second Sundays.
There is no Second Sunday event in September due to our Annual Members’ Party, or in January and February while we are closed.
