Don’t be square, be prismatic! Join us for another screening of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) in the 1956 Workshop to keep the Halloween spirit going! What better place to enjoy this classic German Expressionist film than the Wharton Esherick Museum? There isn’t one. Considered by many to be the first great horror movie, the angular forms and warped perspectives of this celebrated film were a significant influence on Wharton Esherick’s work. Look no further than the twists and turns of our Visitor Center or Esherick’s reconstructed German Expressionist outhouse!
Hot apple cider, popcorn, and candy will be available! Enjoy beautiful autumn views from the Workshop patio and brief opening remarks before the film.
Tickets are Limited:
