The time is finally upon us! A large portion of our collection is homeward bound after a year of traveling the country with The Crafted World of Wharton Esherick exhibition. Help us welcome home some of Wharton Esherick’s most beloved works this October!
In October, we’re extending our Members Sunday in the Studio an extra hour until 12:00 noon in celebration of our collection’s homecoming! Come up the hillside and join us in welcoming back our cherished friends with an extended member-exclusive open house! Don’t worry– we told Oblivion not to bore everyone with vacation slides.
The 1956 Workshop will be open with coffee, tea, and baked goods! Chat with staff members about their experience traveling with the collection and seeing the exhibition at its various venues. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to check out our Artist-in-Residence Kelly Cobb’s exhibition centered around her work with Letty Esherick’s collection of textiles and garments.
Member Sundays in the Studio are a wonderful way for Friends of Esherick to spend time in the Studio at your own pace and without advanced reservations. You can also share your love of the Studio with a friend, family member, or loved one with one complimentary guest pass per membership.
As a member, you preserve this unparalleled site of creativity and keep Esherick’s legacy thriving. We hope you’ll join us for this special access to Esherick’s one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted Studio.
Although advanced reservations are not required for this experience, we strongly encourage RSVPs so we can best prepare to offer a meaningful experience!
