Join us for a conversation between Nonie Gadsden, the Katharine Lane Weems Senior Curator of American Decorative Arts and Sculpture at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, with WEM Director of Curatorial Affairs and Strategic Partnerships Emily Zilber. We’ll explore connections between iconic Esherick pieces in both museums’ collections including the Drop Leaf DeskVictrola Cabinet, and Three-panel Folding Screen, as well as how the MFA thinks about showing Esherick’s work in connection with its encyclopedic collection.

Nonie Gadsden is the Katharine Lane Weems Senior Curator of American Decorative Arts and Sculpture at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), where she is responsible for a wide range of artwork including decorative arts and sculpture from North, Central and South America, from ancient times through the 20th century.
