Please join us for the Annual Members’ Party!

This year, in partnership with Whitman at 200: Art and Democracy, we will be hosting Walt Whitman for a reading from Song of the Broad-Axe! When Wharton Esherick was approached to illustrate Walt Whitman’s Song of the Broad-Axe, he jumped at the chance. A long-time admirer of Whitman’s poems, Esherick saw himself in the adventurous and creative spirit of Broad-Axe, in the “glad clear sound of one’s own voice, the merry song, natural life of the woods, the strong day’s work.” We invite you to join us on the hilltop this year and hear these lines ring true.

We’ve got a great day planned with our traditional open house of the Studio & 1956 Workshop and the Opening & Awards Ceremony for the Annual Juried Woodworking Exhibition. In this 26th year of the exhibition, we are celebrating innovative approaches to lighting! Come and cast your vote for the Members’ Choice Award, which will be voted on and awarded during the Annual Members’ Party.

Guests will also enjoy refreshments, hands-on activities, woodworking demonstrations and more!

Tickets $45

Please note, space is limited and tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.
