WEM Member Trip to Calder Gardens [Member-Exclusive Event]

Attention WEM Members! You know better than anyone that there’s nothing like experiencing Esherick’s abstract sculpture in his singular architectural masterpiece. Join us on Thursday, June 11th at 10:00 AM for the opportunity to see abstract sculpture by a contemporary of Esherick in a new architectural space:  Calder Gardens! We’ll be taking a guided tour of this new museum dedicated to exhibiting the work of Alexander Calder (1898–1976) in meaningful conversation with the surrounding architecture and natural gardens. We’ll explore connections between these two Philadelphia-born sculptors, and talk about ways the Gardens’ contemporary building and grounds relate to the collections inside. 

Ticket sales will close 8 days prior to this program, on June 3rd, 2026.

Members are welcome to purchase one additional ticket for a non-member guest to this event.
