Join us as we trace the creative path of Letty Nofer Esherick, a weaver, dancer, educator, gardener, and mother—whose legacy has long been a side note in the biography of her husband, Wharton Esherick. Our special guest for this program is Cynthia Latham, a longtime volunteer at WEM, whose research in the museum archives illuminates the joys and complications of Letty Esherick’s unconventional life. This program is in conjunction with the exhibition, “Working at a Joyous and Creative Thing: Weaving, Making, and Material Culture in Letty Esherick’s Legacy,” on view at WEM through December 28, 2025.

This is a free online event; advance reservations are required. There will be time for Q&A at the end of the conversation. Please register below to receive instructions on how to join us! If able, please consider a $5 donation to support our ongoing programs. Donate HERE.
