Peony Pop-Up and Garden Apron Workshop: A Celebration of Letty Esherick

Join us among the blooms on Saturday, May 16th at 1:00 PM for a Peony Pop-Up celebrating Kelly Cobb’s ongoing work to elevate Letty Esherick’s life and art. To introduce Letty’s textile designs to contemporary audiences the Pop-Up will feature a limited production collection of hand-dyed and woven textiles available for pre-order developed in collaboration with fashion designer Abby Lutz under the new label “Ever Letty”. The Pop-Up will also showcase process materials from Kelly’s research, selections of Letty’s original work, plus garden-themed refreshments and treats. As Letty’s antique peonies continue to bloom on the Studio hillside, we hope you join us for this joyous day. A newly-released Peony note card developed for this program will be included with each ticket!
During the Pop-Up, our friend Katie Parry from the Fabric Workshop and Museum will be bringing their Summer Garden Apron activity to Esherick’s 1956 Workshop. Tote bags will be provided by WEM, but participants are also invited to bring a tote bag that’s ready for new life for upcycling into a functional tool apron! First add your own flourishes by printing with antique woodblocks, then take your tote to the sewing machine where textile designer Dana Meyer will help you to create a belt and pocket for your choice of tools!
