The works will be judged, without revealing the artist’s name or school, by a jury composed of museum staff and professional artists and/or art teachers. The jury will select twelve to fifteen entries for a spring 2020 exhibit at the Wharton Esherick Museum. The Best of Show, second and third place winners will receive a cash prize as will their art departments. A Viewer’s Choice Award will be voted on through our Facebook page. While there is no cash prize for Viewer’s Choice, the print may already be one chosen by the judges or be voted into the show through the public’s participation.
Criteria for selection are creativity and craftsmanship. There is no theme required this year. Entrants will be notified by February 15, 2020 of the jury’s decisions.
Each high school student may submit only one entry, with each school limited to 15 entries total. Each submission must have an accompanying entry form signed by the students. Prints and accompanying entry form must be postmarked by February 3, 2020. Please include any special instructions regarding displaying, etc., and any other comments you believe are pertinent. Please check your entry form for accuracy and legibility, as this information may be used for signage and publication.

2020 Imprint Entry Form
There are four awards given to selected students. They are: Best in Show, Second Place, Third Place and Viewer’s Choice. The first three awards come with a monetary prizes of $200, $150 and $100 which are given to the student as well as the art department of the school that participated. The Best of Show’s art department is also awarded a free field trip for up to 30 students to the Wharton Esherick Museum.
